Austral Bricks
Austral Bricks relies on MEX CMMS to manage its asset maintenance and fleet operations nationwide. Through MEX CMMS, they achieve better asset tracking, preventive maintenance, and equipment uptime across plants and logistics operations.
The Austral Brick company was founded in 1908 by a group of investors and builders. The company established itself as a major player in the brick industry by the outbreak of World War I in 1914. In time, Austral Bricks transformed from a state based operation to a national organisation with manufacturing operations in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.
These manufacturing operations are continually upgraded and modernised, implementing the world's best technology and environmental protection features. This ensures the maintenance of production efficiency and quality to enable the introduction of new and highly innovative products. Creating new fashions and trends in the residential and commercial building markets.
How is the MEX Maintenance Software used?
We use MEX to manage all our assets within our plants and also our large fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts and workshop vehicles. Within our plants and factories, MEX helps us stay on top of the maintenance on our conveyors, dryers, fans, pumps, motors and trolleys to name a few.
We currently have around 3,000 assets in our register, spread across operations in New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria. We have over 400 active Preventative Maintenance policies and over 100 users. MEX gives us the tools to take control of our maintenance efforts and manage equipment breakdowns.
What made you choose to use the MEX Data Hosting platform?
We needed a solution that would not only keep MEX up to date with the latest versions, but would also make it easy for us to set up and give them instant access to the system.
MEX Data Hosting gives us great flexibility and allows us to access the system anywhere, anytime, without having to be connected to our local networks.
How long have you been hosting your data with MEX?
Austral Bricks NSW has been using MEX on the Data Hosting platform since April 2014. In that time our experience has been excellent both in usage and in customer service.
If you need quick and secure access to your MEX system anywhere, anytime, MEX Data Hosting is a great place to start.
