The City of Belmont is a local government area in the inner eastern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth. We chose MEX after evaluating 6 software options and found MEX to be very user-friendly and logically set out. As a result, training of users was easy as we found the functions to be relevant to our needs and maintenance practices. MEX is cost effective with a good overall design and backed up with support based in Australia.

How did you find the sales process?

The sales process was very easy to process and the contact with MEX has always been excellent.

What are your maintenance goals & how is MEX used to achieve them?

We needed a more flexible maintenance program due to our variety of fleet and found MEX accommodates this with ease. You can be as simple as you want or expand the complexity as you wish. MEX has helped us maintain our KPI's by enabling us to reliably forecast future maintenance requirements and allows us to plan vehicle movements and replacement more accurately.

What advice would you give to anyone in local government looking to implement MEX?

My main advice is that the MEX software goes beyond capabilities of just fleet and plant. Just about any scheduled event in the maintenance area can be customized which is a bonus as you don't have to have different systems to cover these events.
