City of Belmont

MEX CMMS enables the City of Belmont to optimise fleet, facility, and asset maintenance through data-driven planning and forecasting. The user-friendly, flexible maintenance management software helps local government teams meet KPIs, improve asset lifecycle performance, and streamline preventive maintenance programs.

The City of Belmont is a local government area in the inner eastern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth. The local government authority exists to provide facilities, services, spaces and plans for the future for the community to live, work and play in ways that are healthy, efficient, safe and sustainable.

The City comprises the suburbs of Ascot, Redcliffe, Belmont, Cloverdale, Kewdale and Rivervale. With 11km of beautiful Swan River forming one of our boundaries, Belmont is a riverside city yet it is also located in close proximity to air, rail and major road arteries and lies only six kilometres from the centre of Perth.

Why did you choose to purchase MEX as your CMMS?

We chose MEX after evaluating 6 software options and found MEX to be very user-friendly and logically set out. As a result, training of users was easy as we found the functions to be relevant to our needs and maintenance practices. MEX is cost effective with a good overall design and backed up with support based in Australia.

How did you find the sales process?

The sales process was very easy to process and the contact with MEX has always been excellent.

What are your maintenance goals & how is MEX used to achieve them?

We needed a more flexible maintenance program due to our variety of fleet and found MEX accommodates this with ease. You can be as simple as you want or expand the complexity as you wish. MEX has helped us maintain our KPI's by enabling us to reliably forecast future maintenance requirements and allows us to plan vehicle movements and replacement more accurately.

What advice would you give to anyone in local government looking to implement MEX?

My main advice is that the MEX software goes beyond capabilities of just fleet and plant. Just about any scheduled event in the maintenance area can be customised which is a bonus as you don't have to have different systems to cover these events.
