PRESSRELEASE

UC06 Wrapped Up

Thank you for making TMA's Ninth Annual User Conference a success! The 2006 Conference held April 18-20 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, had 445 participants from across the United States, Canada, the West Indies, and New Zealand. There were more than 60 sessions, providing innovative usage, best practices, and strategies for using TMA products. Again, a variety of hands-on workshops on mobileTMA (Palm OS and Pocket PC) software, report writing, and work order basics were a highlight of the Conference. The state-of-the-art computer lab was available during each day of the conference for clients to navigate through the latest version and gain one-on-one attention with a TMA staff member. Most importantly, panels and open forums were used to share ideas and generate discussion on a variety of current topics.

Several comments were received from participants during and after the conference expressing their support and appreciation. These comments and suggestions confirm that the 2006 Conference exceeded participant's expectations and helped us develop new ideas and concepts for the 2007 User Conference.

"I had a fantastic time at the User Conference - everything was done so professionally. The accommodations were great, the food fantastic, and the breakout sessions were extremely useful. It was great to finally put some faces with the names and voices. I'm looking forward to next year's conference; these sessions tend to make us more "gung ho"- I'm not sure that once a year is enough. Thanks to your whole crew. I can't imagine how you could top this one."

Rick Black - El Paso International Airport

What a great time I had at this year's user conference. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with friends and acquaintances that I have met at past user conferences as well as meeting new people. The conference continues to be an excellent time for me to ask others how they handle different setup and operational aspects for TMA at their user sites. The management theory seminars were just what I needed this year and hopefully I will be able to incorporate a lot of what I learned during those sessions, sooner rather than later. I would like to thank the entire TMA staff for their consistent willingness to help others in our world of TMA.

Susan Deane - Chapman University

"Thanks a bunch. Your conference was great!!!! I have been to several workshops and training sessions and none of them compare to TMA's. Thanks again!"

Wayne Regnier - Lincoln Public Schools

"I just wanted to take the time to thank TMA for the most wonderful conference that I have ever experienced in my entire life. I have attended several conferences in the past, but never have I been not only educated, but also to feel as if my comfort was as important to you as was the education that the conference provided. It was beautiful. It was a job well done by your entire company."

G. Michael Peterson - Rochester City School District

TMA Tech Tips

Be Prepared After Hours
Most TMA client support plans offer technical support Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time. Unfortunately, there may be occasions when clients without 24-hour support have an unavoidable need to perform maintenance upgrades, data repairs, etc., after hours or on weekends. If these circumstances arise, contact TMA Client Support Services in advance to ensure:

  1. You have, and have read, the proper documentation and files required to perform the maintenance or upgrade.
  2. You are aware of any troubleshooting tips or common issues associated with this specific maintenance activity or upgrade.

Always make sure you have a current backup of both your data and your application files before performing any maintenance or upgrade activities. (Hint: Performing daily backups helps assure that you will be able to restore the most recent data in the event of an unexpected problem such as a server crash.)

Following these guidelines will help make certain that your upgrade and/or maintenance activity goes smoothly and as planned.
